1000m Marksman Challenge

The PGRGC is excited to introduce our first ever 1000m Marksman Challenge!  Open to all centerfire bolt-action rifles.  For this event, test your skills, and challenge yourself to see what you can do!  Scoring will be both timed, and points-based. Basic rule outline:

Every participant will have 30 minutes. 5 minutes setup time, and 25 minutes to engage all specified targets, ranging from 500 to 1000 meters. Participants need a total of up to 19 rounds of ammunition. A complete rule and scoring package will be emailed to all registrants, but basic event scoring will be as follows:

- 50pts for 1st round hit cold bore at 1000m.

Whether an impact or miss on the 1st shot, participants will then shift their aim and must work their way through 500, 600, 700, 830, 900, & 1000m consecutively.  Up to 3 shots will be allowed at these targets, with only 1 hit needed on a target to score points.  In the event of 3 consecutive misses on a target, the participant will then advance to the next specified target, so on and so forth.  Points scoring will be as follows:

- 30pts for a 1st round hit impact

- 20pts for a 2nd round hit 

- 10pts for a 3rd round hit

In the event of a points tie, ranking will be split based on quickest time.
